Lately, I’ve found myself shifting between two worlds—planning inspiring getaways for my community and quietly reinventing my personal style at home. While I wasn’t able to travel as intended in May, the pause gave me space to reflect, refresh, and get creative in a different way: I updated my MindTrip profile with exciting new itineraries and built the foundation of a capsule wardrobe that I’ll be rotating through summer and autumn.
🌍 Dreaming in Destinations
Even without leaving the house, I’ve been on the move in my mind. My MindTrip profile is now packed with new curated guides that fuel my wanderlust and give others inspiration to explore too.
Here’s what’s new:
- ✈️ 1-Day Jet Set Spa Escape in Bucharest, Romania – a quick self-care reset across borders.
- 🇸🇪 2-Day Wellness Break in Sweden – designed for slow luxury and deep calm.
- 🇮🇹 3-Day Milan City Break + Lake Como Day Trip – for fashion, culture, and cinematic views.
- 🇺🇸 7-Day Essence Festival New Orleans Dream Trip – because some dream trips are too good not to plan out, even if you’re not boarding the flight yet.
Each itinerary reflects a different mood, different style—and that got me thinking about my own wardrobe in a new way.
👗 Curating My Capsule: Style With Purpose
While crafting travel content, I started building a wardrobe that feels as put-together and intentional as the trips I create. Think: timeless, versatile pieces that can handle airport lounges, café hopping, and spontaneous photoshoots all in one day.
My Capsule Wardrobe Staples:
- Quality denim jeans (bought in multiple cuts and washes)
- A tailored trench coat and structured blazers
- Loafers and Chelsea boots (both comfy and chic)
- Neutral basics—crisp button-downs, soft tees
- Midi dresses that transition from day to night
- A few bold signature pieces (because bold statement pieces are part of the brand!)
I used to think capsule wardrobes had to be rigid—30 to 40 pieces max—but I’ve let go of that rule. What matters more is versatility, repeat wear, and pieces that feel authentically me. I asked myself:
What do I reach for often? What styles make me feel powerful, elegant, and comfortable?
That helped me choose smarter, not just more.
♻️ The Wardrobe Clean-Out: Letting Go With Intention
Now that I’ve built the bones of my capsule, it’s time to make space by letting go of what no longer fits (physically or stylistically). Here’s the method I followed:
- Keep the go-to pieces – the staples that I always reach for without thinking.
- Question the impulse buys – if they don’t layer, mix, or match… they’re out.
- Stick with my color palette – anything wildly outside of my go-to tones usually ends up unworn.
- Ask: Will I really wear this 5 times or more? If the answer’s no, it’s not capsule-worthy.
Capsule dressing and travel planning actually go hand in hand—both are about curating experiences (or outfits) that feel effortless, personal, and powerful. Whether I’m styling a look or a getaway, the goal is the same: feel good, look good, move intentionally.
✨ What’s Next?
I’m currently drafting a few more bite-sized MindTrip itineraries and slowly adding to my autumn wardrobe—this time with elevated textures and richer tones. I’ll also be highlighting more of these “behind-the-scenes” moments on the blog: the real process of building a travel-centered brand, staying stylish on the go, and aligning personal growth with every passport stamp (or even every stay-at-home day).
