Dear Travel Dreamer,
I see you.
Still saving. Still scrolling. Still trying to figure out how to go from wanderlust to boarding passes, from Pinterest pins to passport stamps.
Maybe like me, you started this year full of intention.
I had plans to fly solo every few months, to make the most of my travel agent discounts, and to show the behind-the-scenes of what it really looks like to build a location-flexible life.
I was ready.
But then life did what life sometimes does — it shifted the timeline.
๐งณ I Was Flying High — Then Grounded
In December, I felt renewed.
In February, I traveled to Morocco and felt alive.
But in May, everything came to a halt.
My passport was stolen. My plans unraveled. My momentum stalled.
And with that — the content I’d hoped to create, the solo adventures I envisioned, and the brand storytelling I’d mapped out… it all shifted.
It wasn’t just disappointing — it was disorienting.
๐ The In-Between is Where It Gets Real
Since May, I’ve had to do the uncomfortable, unglamorous work of pivoting:
- Finding new ways to express my love of travel without leaving the UK
- Blogging from the trenches instead of the tarmac
- Sharing from the stillness instead of the skies
And to be honest, the in-between has felt so far from the highlight reel.
But if you’re in a similar space — planning, waiting, longing — I want you to know:
You are not behind.
You are becoming.
๐ Travel Is Still Your Story — Even If You’re Not Traveling
One of the most radical things I’ve learned is that:
The travel dream doesn’t die just because you’re grounded.
It transforms.
For me, that’s looked like:
- Solo dates in Manchester that feel like little getaways
- Exploring creativity and culture in my own city
- Building my travel brand from my bedroom instead of the beach
- Documenting the journey honestly — from broken plans to bold pivots
✨ Keep Dreaming. Keep Documenting.
This is your reminder that the travel dream isn’t just about the destinations.
It’s about:
- The courage to plan again
- The commitment to your vision even when no one else sees it
- The willingness to tell your story, even when the story feels stuck
So if you’re not traveling right now — that’s okay.
There’s still magic in your movement.
There’s still power in your presence.
There’s still space for your voice in this global story.
๐ What’s Next
I’m still dreaming. Still building. Still showing up.
And I’ll be teaching how to build a story-led travel brand even when life isn’t perfect inside my upcoming course for creatives, storytellers, and aspiring digital nomads.
But for now, this letter is for you.
You, who feels like the only one not catching flights.
You, who wonders if it’s too late.
You, who’s still figuring it out.
You’re not behind. You’re just becoming.
And that’s a beautiful place to be.
With love,
Minnie

๐ 5 Things I’d Tell the Travel Dreamer Still Figuring It Out
1. ๐ Your travel story is valid, even if you haven’t left home yet.
Wanderlust isn’t measured by miles — it’s a mindset. Start where you are.
2. ๐งณ Delays don’t mean denial.
A stalled trip or stolen passport isn’t the end. Sometimes the pause is part of the preparation.
3. ✨ Document the dream before it looks like one.
Show the behind-the-scenes. Let others see the becoming, not just the boarding passes.
4. ๐ป You can still build a travel brand without traveling.
Create, share, teach, plan — your content can inspire even from your city, your room, your reality.
5. ๐ Your dream doesn’t have to look like anyone else’s.
Maybe you won’t travel full-time. Maybe you will. Either way — it’s your version of freedom, not theirs.
